Hopefully it did a little melt into the window seal and got stuck there. Strong odds the only lesson she’ll learn is to throw it harder next time though.

Why smoke in your car? It’s so nasty. Do it outside

I would have thought the venn diagram of cigarette smokers and owners of a 90k EV would be pretty small.

Cigarettes flying back into cars, lighting them on fire. What is this, the 90s?

Karma for littering.

In the 70s my mom threw a cig butt out her window and it started the back seat on fire. Literally burnt to a crisp

Oh yeah, that was a big thing when I was a kid, if my parents were smoking you rolled up the rear windows cause we’d had a couple lit ones come back in and burn people/clothing/etc.

Leaving half a cigarette? In this economy?

Back in 1998… My brother was helping me move from NY to GA. All my crap was in the back seat and trunk. My brother smoked and when he flicked his cigarette it flew into the back seat… Luckily we saw it happen and pulled over…. Took a few moments to find it but it burned a hole in my pillow. Got super lucky

I get unreasonably angry at people who casually throw cigarettes/butts on the ground. Just…. why? WHY? Why is it culturally normal here in the US?

I worked with an old guy years ago who comes into work with a burn hole on the back of his (cheap) suit jacket. He was on the highway, threw the cigarette butt out the window and the wind blew it back into the car, landing between him and the car seat. Almost caused a huge accident

A friend’s car burnt to the ground because he flicked a cigarette out and it went back in the back window. It was a Lincoln town car, and evidently those things are extra flammable. Went from “hey, your car is smoking” to “holy crap, call the fire department!” in the time it took us to go out there to try to put it out.

It is wild that somehow people don’t consider filters litter like any other paper product.
